The International School Aberdeen provides a friendly and supportive learning environment. The outstanding facilities and green surroundings make for a very pleasant campus.
The High School program at ISA gives students a safe setting in which to develop into young adults and reach their full potential. For students entering Grade 9 (S3) in August 2017, the majority of their courses will meet the requirements of the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum and they will have the option to sit external examinations at the end of Grade 10 (S4). We are proud to offer the International Baccalaureate Program in Grades 11 and 12 (S5-S6). The qualification offers students both breadth and depth academically with aspects such as Theory of Knowledge, Creativity-Activity-Service and the Extended Essay setting it apart from other educational systems. The approaches to learning that students develop help them find success in further education and returning alumni refer to how well prepared they were having taken the IB at our school.
Students develop international mindedness through the educational program and from being a part of our diverse community. They learn local and global perspectives through the numerous co-curricular activities and have opportunities to grow academically, artistically and athletically. Our students leave the school embodying the IB’s Learner Profile. An explanation of that Profile and further information on the High School can be found on these webpages and in our handbooks. I hope you will take the time to look at what we have to offer.
I look forward to welcoming you to the school.
