Celebrating Shakespeare Month

To celebrate the work of Williams Shakespeare, our Grade 7 and 8 drama students are collaborating with our Theatre Technicians to perform a monologue or sonnet of their choice each day for the month of April.

The drama students first selected their monologue or sonnet from a Shakespeare work of their choice and were then paired up with a theatre technician to bring their performances to life.

The theatre technician helped with some basic research of the work then selected instrumental music to accompany the entrance and exit to the scene. The theatre technician also designed the lights for the scene. In some cases, sound effects were added to the scene, giving a richer texture to the scene.

Before the Easter holidays, our students and Technicans came together to film each of the scenes. You can watch their daily performances via our Community Hub.
